Greenland

“Your capitain is speaking: we have a problem, there is an polar bear
on the air strip, we don’t know how long our landing in Kulusuk will be
delayed!” Big laughter in the airplane because everybody thinks our pilot is
only joking!
At least when the ground staff directs us immediately inside the
airport building after the landing, the last person realizes that in Greenland
polar bears are reality. Kulusuk is a tiny airport in east Greenland where the adventure starts immediately with the first step out from the airplane or even
before.
With the skis, dog sledges, and on a boat we discovered the aerea of Angmagssalik with the town Tasiilaq, the Sermilik Fjord with the village Tiniteqilaq. We did back country skiing to the top of the mountains Qertartivatsiaq, Somandsfieldet , Ymers Bjerg and unnamed peaks as well.
East
Greenland is still a place for individuals with plenty of space, fresh
air and fantastic views.
